WIPA PHILANTHROPY

Philanthropy derives from Ancient Greek, meaning "to love people". Philanthropy is the act of donating money, goods, services, time and/or effort to support a socially beneficial cause, with a defined objective and with no financial or material reward to the donor.

2009 WIPA Philanthropy: $500 Donation

Each December, WIPA has traditionally contributed to a charity in support of the United States armed forces. For 2009, on behalf of all WIPA members a monetary donation will be made to The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. 2008 WIPA Philanthropy: $500 Donation

I am raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team In Training program in honor of my mother Kathy Curtis, who just successfully completed a stem cell transplant for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and in memory of my grandmother, Marguerite, who died from the disease 8 years ago.
